In the posts on this web site I write about the many options the world can use to move away from fossil fuels. I cover energy generation and efficiency both from technical and policy perspectives. I am an occasional investor in young companies with promising technologies and I'm a director of Chargepoint Services, one of the UK's leading EV charging businesses. For the academic year 2017-2018, I'm 'writer in residence' at Imperial College Business School, attached to the Centre for Climate Finance and Investment.
Sometimes I carry out consulting projects for investment funds and private shareholders and speak at conferences and on radio. More details of my speaking work are here.
Feedback to anything published on this site is always *very* welcome indeed.

I have writing projects to finish and apologise to subscribers for not publishing the newsletter for the next few months.
Each Sunday I try to send subscribers a short digest discussing what I think have been the ten most significant news stories in clean tech and energy efficiency around the world over the previous week. No pretence at completeness and an extremely idiosyncratic choice of items. Mostly events or landmarks not extensively discussed in the UK or elsewhere.
